At the Midatlantic Voiceover Conference November 2023, founder Val Kelly presented me with what is arguably the most heartfelt award in the industry. The MAVO Muse Award is given for “outstanding contribution to the voice over community”. While I’m always seeking to give back, support and elevate fellow voice actors and others in this industry, it is not something anyone expects to be recognised for. This beautiful award is a reminder that people do notice, and you do make a difference. Not shown: public blubbering and many hugs. I miss you Val!
